Terms of work
How Spilanth Studio works with brands: what is agreed before production, what you own, and what to expect. In plain language.
What these terms cover
These terms describe how Spilanth Studio works with brands on ad projects. Every project also gets a written quote that you approve before production starts. It sets out the scope, the price and the delivery date for your project. If the quote and this page differ, the quote applies.
Nothing is made before you approve it
We send the script, the shot list and the price first. Nothing is generated until you approve them. That one rule keeps the schedule and the price predictable for both sides.
Prices
Published prices are per ad of up to 30 seconds and include GST. The price is fixed before production starts. Longer ads, extra languages and extra formats are priced with you before production starts, never added afterwards. Every published price is on the pricing page.
Payment
You pay in two halves. The first 50% is due when you approve the script, and production starts once it is paid. The remaining 50% is due on delivery, before the final files are released and the rights pass to you. Both payments include GST, and we send a GST invoice for each.
Cancelling a project
If you cancel before production starts, we refund everything you have paid, in full. Once production has started, the advance is not refundable, because the work it pays for is already under way. You never owe the second half for a project you cancel before delivery.
Revisions
The number of revision rounds is agreed in the written quote before production starts. Changes beyond the agreed rounds are quoted with you before any work is done.
What you receive
Every ad is delivered as a 9:16 cut for Reels and Stories and a 4:5 cut for Feed. Other shapes, such as 1:1 or 16:9, are agreed in the brief. Turnaround is an estimate that we confirm after reading your brief: usually 3 to 5 business days for a product ad, and 1 to 3 weeks for commercial and storytelling ads, including script approval.
Who owns the finished ad
You do. Full commercial rights to the finished ad pass to your brand in writing on final payment. The ad can run on Meta, YouTube, TV, OTT and outdoor screens, with no time limit. For what Indian copyright law says about ads made with AI, read who owns an AI-generated ad in India.
Your materials and claims
You confirm that you have the right to give us the photos, artwork, logos and other material you send. Nothing appears on screen that you haven’t approved in the script, and you are responsible for the accuracy of any claim you ask us to include. If a claim needs proof, or a live shoot is the honest choice, we’ll say so when we read the brief.
Generated people
Presenters and characters in our ads are generated. We never present a generated person as a real customer, and we don’t make fake testimonials.
Showcase work and other brands’ names
Some films and artwork on this site are self-initiated showcase pieces or concept imagery. Brand names and trademarks that appear in them belong to their owners and are shown as examples of a category, not as clients or endorsements.
Limit of liability
Our total liability to you for any project is limited to the fee you paid us for that project.
Governing law
These terms and every project under them are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be decided by the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
